“Recovery is a key word for us right now.” VisitScotland’ Director of Marketing & Digital, Vicki Miller tells Canadian Travel Press.

And in that conversation, Miller makes it clear that: “Our immediate priority is to support industry for what is hoped for many, to be the first full year of trading since the pandemic. The outlook for this summer is looking more positive with businesses reporting stronger bookings for the months ahead however we are realistic in our expectations and do not expect international visitor numbers to return to pre-pandemic levels this year.”

And VisitScotland’s Director of Marketing & Digital also makes it clear that: “Travel agents and advisors have a key role to play here which is why as part of our international recovery strategy, we are placing such importance on education, training, and engagement with travel trade.”
