The successful Travel Manager will be a professional industry leader who possesses sound knowledge of travel products and tour packages and has demonstrated the ability to motivate and encourage a small team of Travel Consultants to exceed strategic sales targets and results. The individual will share a passion for travel, leadership, customer excellence and has creatively tailored travel packages to enhance the customer needs and expectations.

The Travel Consultant Manager will support the daily operations of the branch and ensure outstanding quality and the highest level of sales and service excellence is achieved aligning with Robert Q Travel’s core values. You will maintain and grow existing business while seeking and securing new sales growth opportunities. As a mentor, you will coach, train and support your staff to achieve desired results.

Status: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Hours of Work: Flexible schedule based on operational needs

Salary: Compensation based on experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to train, mentor and motivate Travel Consultants to achieve or exceed their targets and ensure company profitability
  • Provide travel information to clients regarding destinations, transportation and accommodation options and travel costs, and recommend suitable products
  • Plan and organize vacation travel for individuals or groups
  • Make transportation and accommodation reservations
  • Sell single fare tickets and package tours to clients
  • Promote particular destinations, tour packages and other travel services
  • Investigate new travel destinations, hotels and other facilities and attractions
  • Provide travel tips regarding tourist attractions, foreign currency, customs, languages and travel safety.
  • Take part in familiarization visits to new destinations
  • Liaise with travel partners, including airlines and hotels
  • Manage customer enquiries in a timely manner aiming to exceed their expectations
  • Oversee the smooth, efficient running of the business
  • Ensures that all TICO guidelines and regulations are adhered to
  • Handles both external and internal customer service issues in a timely manner


  • 2-4 years of effective management and supervisory experience (preferred)
  • 1-3 years travel agency, tourism, hospitality and sales experience
  • TICO Certified with education in travel and hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of ITC, FIT, Cruise, Group products, travel trends and tailored holidays
  • Enthusiastic individual who is multi-skilled with effective communication and promotion abilities
  • Superior customer service, proven ability to foster a positive team and provide strong leadership
  • Organized, detail orientated and innovative with a desire to encourage and drive others success
  • Confident and self-motivated professional
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations and surpass sales goals
  • Proficient computer skills
