TORONTO — VoX International and Total Public Relations have teamed up to provide PR support for the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau in Canada.

The new collaborative partnership will see Andrew Ricketts of Total PR rejoin the VoX International team. He will be responsible for executing the public relations strategy for the destination, which recently unveiled a fresh new look and tagline: Fort Myers’ Islands, Beaches and Neighborhoods.

The new name comes with the launch of and a revamped Visitor Guide. Five key pillars serve as the basis of the rebranding: change of pace, commitment to nature, connection to water, sense of community, and an active lifestyle. Fort Myers and its surrounding areas in Le County, Florida include Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel & Captiva islands, Boca Grande & Outer Islands, Pine Island, Matlacha, Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, Alva, Buckingham and Lehigh Acres.

“This partnership with VoX has been in the making for some time. It’s a full-circle moment and a celebration all on its own,” said Ricketts. “We take pride in partnering with organizations like VoX that share our passion for travel. Fort Myers is truly a unique destination with a wide range of offerings, and we are so excited to work together again.”

Susan Webb, President of VoX International, said that the team is “delighted” to welcome Andrew back.

“It is always exciting to embark on a new partnership, especially in the tourism industry,” she says. “VoX was first awarded the Fort Myers account in 2012 and at that time, Andrew was appointed as the Public Relations Manager. He knows the destination well and I am thrilled that we can collaborate for a fresh new outlook to promote Fort Myers nationally in Canada.”

Ricketts will work alongside Jeanette Faria, Account Manager, to lead media relations from the VoX Toronto office. For more information contact Ricketts at (416) 820-4310 or email him at
